Accurate Installations with ASSA ABLOY BILT App

ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions is simplifying the installation of its door and opening products through interactive 3D models. These step-by-step instructions make installations easier, ensure products are installed properly, and store warranties for future reference.

The mobile BILT app is free to download on Apple and Android and provides access to Intelligent Instructions™ for ASSA ABLOY products. The instructions are fully-interactive, voice narrated step-by-step guides that simplify installation and shorten the time it takes to accomplish the job. They remove the guess-work when attempting to interpret paper instructions.

“Installers are gently walked and talked through a trouble-free installation, prompting hardware and tools needed for each step,” said Nate Henderson, BILT CEO. “The app is especially helpful for one-time and first-time installations and can also be used to prepare before heading into the field.” This means more efficient and accurate installations, resulting in safer and more secure buildings.

BILT also provides seamless updates if a product changes or if installation instructions are updated. The result is an always-up-to-date set of instructions and warranty that continually reflect the current product.

“Using BILT greatly enhances a user’s understanding of the product and of the installation,” said Jeffery Granath, operational development manager at ASSA ABLOY Americas. “The ability to utilize 3D interactive instructions and zoom in, zoom out and rotate the view provides reassurance that you have installed a product correctly. This leads to fewer operating problems with the opening and fewer callbacks.”

ASSA ABLOY product installation instructions already available on the BILT app include: Corbin Russwin IN120 WiFi locks and exit devices, SARGENT IN120 WiFi locks and exit devices, Norton 5800 ADAEZ, HES 1500/1600 and various products from Yale, including Yale Assure Lock™ and Yale nexTouch™.
