CrucialTrak recently partnered with CBC America to bring its Biometric Access Control System (BACS) to the security market. Just a few weeks later, the product has earned top honors as Best New Product in the SIA New Product Showcase (NPS) at ISC West 2017, April 6. The touchless all-in-one multi-biometric access control system combines four biometric modalities - simultaneous touchless fingerprint recognition and palm vein recognition, 2D/3D matching face recognition and iris recognition - into a single terminal.
According to CrucialTrak, the use of Multi-Biometrics takes advantage of the capabilities of each biometric technology while overcoming the limitations of a single technology. Most analysts and companies involved in the biometrics market see a great potential that Multi-Biometrics products will become more prevalent in the near future. In all, this year's NPS Program had 120 entries, a record for entrants in recent years.
The Judges' Choice Award was presented to Thermal Imaging Radar for Hydra, which provides wide area intrusion detection through continuous 360° thermal intrusion detection combined with 360° targeted surveillance from a 30X zoom laser IR starlight PTZ.
