U.S. Lock’s Tom Shaughnessy has been named “Employee of the Month” for January 2012. Shaughnessy is U.S. Lock’s City Sales Supervisor as well as mentor to fellow employees. He has been with the company for 24 years.
Throughout his tenure at U.S. Lock, Tom has been an order filler, order checker, and profile designer for five U.S. Lock warehouse locations. All of these positions, along with his product knowledge and the superb ability to take care of the customers who come through the door, made him the perfect candidate for “Employee of the Month.”
When asked what at U.S. Lock he found most interesting, he quickly replied, “The people I work with!” The “people he works with” know that by the smile on his face and the way he is always there to lend a hand. When not assisting an outside customer, he is often found helping the sales force with product questions that they have. He works tirelessly with his warehouse team as well, doing whatever is necessary.
One employee of U.S. Lock described Tom as moving ‘faster than a bullet’ to help the sales staff, support staff and of course, the customers. Tom said that he wouldn’t have it any other way.
