Introduced earlier this year, Medeco Fusion is a new web-based software portal that speeds up and simplifies the Medeco ordering process. It contains all documents needed for orders and authorizations, and the fully digital interaction streamlines both the ordering process and the record-keeping.
“Medeco Fusion is a comprehensive and centralized digital repository for all our customer-facing tools. This innovative platform is designed to streamline and simplify the onboarding process, featuring digital agreements and coining die design capabilities. By leveraging advanced digital solutions, we ensure the utmost precision in customer-provided data at the factory, guaranteeing high-quality outcomes for our clients,” the company says.
Users can:
- Digitally Sign Agreements
- Design Coining Dies
- Design Key Systems
“Medeco Fusion significantly improves overall efficiency and reduces time consumption for both our customers and our team. By consolidating all essential tools into one accessible location, we eliminate the need for time-consuming manual processes and multiple points of contact,” said Keith Corey, senior software developer, at a Medeco Fusion webinar According to Corey, Medeco Fusion has been in the works for the past seven years, an effort to “combine tools in one centralized place, from onboarding your customers all the way through to managing your key system.”
Digital interaction makes the order processing faster and eliminates the need for the previous paper vouchers (though they can still be used). The system is backwards compatible with Medeco3 and KeyMark as well as newer keying systems.
Medeco Fusion has fully digitized its key agreement process and existing agreements have been uploaded into the system. Digital signatures are accepted with Adobe Sign for new agreements.
When getting started, users can log in to www.fusion.medeco.com with existing Medeco or ASSA ABLOY credentials or easily create a new account.
Medeco Fusion was designed for direct customers, but also for end users, sales team, internal users. It’s a way to tie all existing users and data together in one place to have access and make everything more seamless, Corey said. Future development will add more dashboards to make info easily accessible
After a new agreement is entered, it then goes to Medeco for approval, A status indicator will turn green when it is approved by Medeco and users will see a status indicator
Another cool feature is the coining die design module. Users can upload custom artwork and add text and get a real-time view of what their customized key head is going to look like.
The Key System Design Studio guides users through master key system design. This is available for Medeco, Sargent, Corbin Russwin and Accentra, which are all ASSA ABLOY brands.
The Digitized Record of Authorization is designed for both end users and direct customers. It can generate a list of authorized users and their contact information, and historical data is accessed through the expired section.
New functionalities, features and dashboards are planned for the future, most notably the Medeco Fusion app to benefit mobile locksmiths. It will be available for both iOS and Android.
Medeco Fusion is free and is a separate entity from Medeco’s SimpleK master key program.
