Founded in 1955 on education, Lockmasters continues to be the foremost training choice for the United States Military, government as well as the commercial sector for our renowned GSA, SCIF, locksmith and safe lock courses. Our commercial locksmithing & safe technician training courses offer entry to advanced training, allowing for continuing education. We are the longest running training center approved by the Department of Defense Lock Program to certify GSA Safe & Vault Technicians & Inspectors.

Lockmasters’ long-established relationship with the United States Government and innovative thinking led to the development of the LKM10K, a high security, life safety exit device used to secure United States government Sensitive Compartmental Information Facilities (SCIFS). We continued development of our industry leading GSA FF-L-2890 approved LKM10K lock series, which now boasts eight types.
There is more to a SCIF than a lock in 2004, Lockmasters introduced the first-of-its-kind STC (Sound Transmission Class) door in-a-box program for SCIFs. This program offers STC or RF (Radio Frequency) specialty doors with our LKM10K lock pre-installed for quick and easy installation into any SCIF wall opening. To ensure proper installation and operation we teach certification classes on both the LKM10K and RF/STC door, and as educators we continually introduce courses to our ICD-705 curriculum. Our newest acquisition of Signals Defense, who sets the benchmark in RF/IR window films and shielding materials for Secure Work Environments, including SCIFs - thereby securing our reputation as SCIFMASTERS™.

Lockmasters proudly distributes for all the major door hardware, safe lock and locksmith tool and equipment manufacturers. As the country’s leading distributor for safe locks and tools, we welcomed the addition of JLM in early 2024, the nation’s most trusted security door hardware wholesaler. In December of 2024, we acquired Orchard Lock Distributors, adding another location and leader in door hardware.
