NAPCO Launches Free AirAccess & E-Access Training

NAPCO Security Technologies is offering expanded free training to dealers, locksmiths and security pros on its cellular- and cloud-based access control systems. These introductory classes cover both systems.

At ISC East, David Donovan, NAPCO regional sales manager, conducted one of these training sessions. NAPCO now is expanding these free training offerings nationwide, locally and at its distributors — often as popular “lunch & learns,” as well as in online presentations.

AirAccess uses NAPCO’s well-known StarLink Cellular to make network connections automatically outside the customer’s network and firewall. It eliminates setup hassles, IT delays and interactions, ISP changes, etc., and can use any Wiegand readers that have wireless one-door panels or top-rated wireless access locks, inside or out — or both. It delivers twice the RMR-earning potential, because dealers not only can host or manage their accounts’ systems remotely at the dealer’s own server, but they also can provide cellular central-station monitoring and SMS cellphone alerts.

NAPCO E-Access is a software-free embedded access system. E-Access’ one-, two- and four-door modular panels are self-contained and use any web browser to sign in and manage the secure Linux-based system.

Both systems, sold at NAPCO distributors, are scalable from a few doors and users to hundreds and include mobile apps that have free built-in credentials and command control and lockdown security for authorized users.

Banner Solutions Revamps Website

Distributor Banner Solutions launched a completely redesigned eCommerce experience on its website, BannerSolutions.com.

The new site reflects how Banner Solutions continues to think in terms of delivering solutions — not just product, said President and CEO Brendan Deely.

“This all-in commitment to improving our platform is a testimony to how Banner Solutions uses leading-edge technology to demonstrate to customers that we listen to them and understand their expectations in a best-in-class eCommerce experience,” Deely said. “We’re committed to making the complex simple.”

“It’s not just about having a great website. We already had a great website,” said Chief Digital Officer Ben Smith. “Our new web experience has been designed to equip the customers we serve with a platform that solves the challenges they face — specific to their business and their job.”

At a recent meeting of Locksmiths United, Travis Howell, content marketing manager of Banner Solutions, gave a quick tour of the new website.

“We put search front and center,” he said, with two primary tabs, one for everything and one particularly for automotive products, on the homepage. He added that Banner also beefed up the amount of information included for each product in its inventory.

Other additions include multiple logins for one account and the ability as an admin to determine which logins can see what material. Another notable feature is that you can filter out products that aren’t in stock when you shop.

Users also can track orders on the homepage and the footer, and the new account dashboard delivers user, project, order and invoice management, Smith said.
