SHDA Hosts Another Successful Advancement Summit
From the golf tournament to the opening reception at the Charlotte Motor Speedway to the three days of one-on-one meetings and top-notch networking, the Security Hardware Distributors Association (SHDA) annual Industry Advancement Summit in Charlotte, N.C., April 27-30, at the Embassy Suites Charlotte-Concord. SHDA’s Summit was a big success, bringing together industry distributors and SHDA manufacturer partners in one convenient location.
SHDA President Charlie Weaver, who runs Accredited Lock Supply in Secaucus, N.J, approved the minutes from last year’s meeting and confirmed that next year’s meeting will be back in Phoenix, Arizona, at the Hilton Phoenix Resort at the Peak. Weaver also noted that association finances and membership are strong.
Over the course of three days of productive one-on-one meetings with SHDA manufacturer partners and distributors, Locksmith Ledger had the opportunity to get a glimpse into all the new products each company is working on, and in some cases were able to get a demo of a new product. This year we also had the opportunity to get some video coverage of some of these new products, many of which will be featured, along with others, in our August issue.
