Simplex Pushbutton Locks Offer Wire-Free and Battery-Free Solution

Sept. 17, 2020

The Simplex push-button lock series from dormakaba provides superior access control without the need for cables, software, or batteries. While in the industry for many years, Simplex locks still eliminate the problems associated with issuing, handling, controlling, and safeguarding keys and cards. Combinations can be changed quickly and easily by authorized individuals to provide maximum security after employees, managers or visitors leave a designated area

Simplex 1000/L1000 Series

These locks allow users to gain entry from the outside using a combination. They can exit by simply turning a knob/lever. The Simplex 1000/L1000 Series is the best option for limiting access to sensitive or crowded areas in the institutional, residential, and industrial sectors. It is ideal for locations with high people flow such as data centers, employee entrances, research and development labs, residential apartments, dorms, and restricted areas in hospitals and airports where an audit trail is not required.

Key features include:

  • Simple operation. Press buttons in the correct sequence and turn the knob/lever to retract the latch bolt.
  • Thousands of possible combinations. Authorized individuals can use one to five buttons individually in the combination or by pressing two or more buttons simultaneously.
  • Easy to install on wood or metal doors. Simplex 1000/L1000 locks can be installed on any door which had another lock installed previously.
  • Weather resistant. Tested for heavy use. Suitable for indoor and outdoor applications.

Each Simplex 1000/L1000 Series lock includes installation instructions, a full-scale template, all necessary mounting hardware for installation changing the combination.

Optional Features include:

  • Emergency release key. Key allows authorized individuals to maintain a master security system. The lock accepts interchangeable and removable cylinders (not supplied).
  • Unrestricted access. Allows access without using the lock entry combination or key, keeping the door active when closed. We refer to this as passage, and this statement is a little confusing – the way it reads.

Simplex 5000 Series

  • No battery. Fully mechanical.
  • Number of codes. One easy-to-manage code for all users.
  • Easy programming. Easily programmed via keypad without removing the lock from the door or use of Software.
