Summit Access & Security Acquires Monaco Lock Company, Expanding Its Footprint in Northern New Jersey

Acquisition brings 55+ years of family-run locksmith expertise into Summit's growing facility security portfolio

Farmingdale, New York—Summit Access & Security, (formerly IML Security), a leading provider of comprehensive security solutions and physical security integration, announced it has acquired Monaco Lock Company, Inc., a family-owned locksmith company based in Jersey City, New Jersey. The acquisition is Summit's second this quarter, following the acquisition of  Top Security Locksmiths, Inc. of Point Pleasant, New Jersey.

Founded in 1967, Monaco Lock Company provides locksmith services to residential, commercial and institutional customers throughout New Jersey. The company offers lock installation and re-keying, master and high-security key systems, keyless and electronic entry, access control products, door hardware and safes. Its Jersey City showroom also supports wholesale distribution. Monaco is licensed, bonded and insured, with long-standing employees and client relationships that span decades.

"Businesses like Monaco don't come along often," said Sean O'Hayre, CEO & President of Summit Access & Security. "For more than half a century, this family has built something people in Jersey City count on, with skilled hands, honest work and customers who stay for decades. We're not here to change that tradition, we're here to protect it and help it grow. Monaco is exactly the kind of company we want to welcome to Summit."

Monaco's services range from traditional to modern with high-security and master key systems, key duplication (including foreign and domestic keys), re-keying, lock installation, door repair, and safe combination changes, alongside keyless entry, electronic and magnetic locks and access control products. Monaco technicians handle the work from start to finish, and its products and services are backed by factory and service warranties.

"For 55 years, our name has been on the door and our family has stood behind every job. We chose Summit because they understand that, and because they'll give our customers and our team the support to keep doing what we love,” said Monaco’s Owner Karen Quagliana.

Monaco owners Karen and Pat Quagliana will remain with the company through a transition period, ensuring continuity for Monaco's long-standing customers. Monaco's technicians are joining Summit, bringing decades of local knowledge and customer relationships with them. Over the next five months, the team will transition into Summit's field-based service model, working remotely as most of Summit's technicians do, supported by Summit's technology and service standards.
