The 2014 Security Leaders Forum, the first of its kind, will be held Feb. 24-27 at the Waldorf Astoria El Conquistador hotel in Fajardo, Puerto Rico.
The forum’s theme, "Engage, Evolve and Elevate Your Business," was designed for the top business owners in the security industry, along with their senior managers and other staff. Professor Max Muller of Rockhurst University will conduct onsite workshops covering issues affecting the security industry.
Sponsored by the ALOA Security Professionals Association, Inc., the event will include a tradeshow featuring the latest products along with one-on-one meetings between business owners and manufacturers and distributors. Additionally, roundtable discussions, networking sessions and other events will be held.
“This promises to be an energetic, informative forum that will benefit the leaders in our industry — and their employees,” says Tom Demont, president of ALOA SPAI. “Having Max Muller there to share his wealth of information will be a boon for all of us.”
Nationally known for his business expertise, Muller is the author of five publications, including The Legal Side of HR Practice, The Manager’s Guide to HR and The Essential OSHA Self-Study Guide. At the forum, he will cover topics including the supervising service truck drivers and other offsite employees, jump-starting creative thinking to better manage your business, and inventory control for profit and growth.
“This last seminar is a must for businesses of every size,” Demont says. “We’ll leave this event with a pocketful of mental tools to help us manage our everyday business lives.”
Early registration for business owners is $495 ($595 after Feb. 7). For shop managers and other staff members, the fee $295 ($395). Spouses and other guests may attend for a fee of $195. For more information, contact Jo Anne Mims at [email protected].
