The news is out. The iPhone 5 is finally available. People have stood in lines for a week or so to be the first on their block. The iPhone 5 has a new processor and a top to bottom redesign. It is touted as being the best iPhone to date. It is not equipped with NFC (Near Field Communication).
In February 2, 2012, ComScore reported that 12.4% of United States mobile subscribers use an iPhone as of December 2011. However, Apple had 29.6% of the top smartphone platforms as of September 2011.
There are six generations of the iPhone, originally introduced during the third quarter of 2007. According to Apple, more than 5 millions iPhone 5's were sold the first weekend. And more than 100 million iOS device owners updated to iOS 6, the new operating system.
