July 2016 was our New Products issue, timed for ALOA 2016. New product feature articles previewed the Shelter by Best school lockdown system, KSP’s expanded (and still expanding) convertible housing line, the ABUS Vitess high security system and Alarm Lock’s Model DL2700LD Trilogy T2 Digital Lock with LocDown Indicator. Indicator classroom locks remain in the news today as a vital part of a school security plan. In the article “Making Ends Meet with Wire,” Tim O’Leary noted that locksmiths need reliable wiring and cabling to connect electronic access control components. Additional articles looked at Dorma door closer solutions, Pro-Lok’s PRO Series installation templates and Securitron’s new magnalock selection guide. Mul-T-Lock released its ENTR line, a deadlocking solution for a wide variety of access control requirements. Locksmith Ledger also had a full section of corporate profiles, including a few companies that are no longer in business or merged with bigger players, such as distributors US Lock, Akron Hardware and Midwest Keyless and manufacturer CCL Security Products.
