The Industrial Infrastructure College teaches the various types of industrial infrastructure technology solutions to consider when planning to renovate or build a new industrial facility or campus. These courses aid in the development of comprehensive systems for a variety of industrial communications environments and applications using the most recent hardware and software technologies. They cover the basic principles of IP/Ethernet networking with a focus on the manner in which the new control protocols are best deployed in the industrial environments and applications.

Each college course is labeled with a level number indicating the degree of technical information contained in the course. The Level 100 courses are considered prerequisites to be completed prior to higher-level courses. Most of the courses offered are accredited with Continuing Education Credits (CECs) from BICSI and other professional organizations that can be used to aid attendees in maintaining their professional certifications. Course descriptions list the associated CEC information for which the course is qualified.

Classes last approximately 60 minutes and contain knowledge check questions to reinforce the concepts discussed. At the end of each course, the student is required to complete a quiz with an 80 percent correct score in order to be issued a completion certificate. This certificate may be submitted by the student to request that the CECs be applied to the student’s transcript.

Paxton Access Control Workshops

Paxton Access has announced a new dealer training program across its access control product range; Net2 and Paxton BLU. Paxton’s dealer workshops are being offered at a variety of convenient locations nationwide. 

The practical workshops are designed to provide dealers with the essential knowledge needed to install Paxton products with confidence and ensure dealers always offer the best access control solution to their customers.

Training is available on Trilogy® installation & repair, Trilogy T3, ArchiTech™ installation & programming, Alarm Lock DL Windows Software, and Alarm Lock Networx systems including gateways and Networx locks.  Earn factory-certification on Alarm Lock products while learning the latest new technology, installation & programming techniques and growth in new markets.

All local Alarm Lock classes are hands-on and taught with real-world applications and locking expertise, while webinar classes can be taken at the comfort of your own computer – no gas or travel required. Webinars are presented live and offer a Question & Answer session following each session.

dormakaba Training

dormakaba certification programs and training resources allow participants to get hands on experience with the extensive dormakaba product families. There are four types of educational and training programs: instructor led training, webinars, E-learning, and training videos. 

Since the introduction of dormakaba’s instructor-led training programs, thousands of installers and locksmiths throughout the United States and Canada have been successfully trained and certified on dormakaba’s product families. dormakaba offers approximately 50 in-person training programs each year. Training classes cover a broad range of products, such as Simplex, E-Plex, X-10, InSync, Keyscan Access Control Systems, and Workforce Solutions. 

dormakaba’s webinars are a convenient way to update your skills without travelling to an in-person training certification program. Each webinar is approximately 1 to 2 hours and can be completed anywhere with an internet & phone connection. Webinars are an interactive learning experience taught by knowledgeable dormakaba instructors. The format will provide you an opportunity to discuss the material, ask questions, and clarify your understanding in a conference call setting. Best of all, there is no cost for this additional training.
