Adams Rite Raises The Bar With New Exit Devices

July 2, 2018

ADAMS RITE Manufacturing can trace its roots back over 100 years. While the company first began business under another name and produced ornate hardware, company owners recognized the growth in the aircraft industry during the 1930s and began producing locks and latches for aircraft. As example, Adams Rite made lock hardware for the Douglas DC-3 aircraft.

After World War II Adams Rite developed two lines of products -- architectural hardware and aircraft hardware. The aircraft hardware division was sold in 1999 and Adams Rite manufacturing was sold in 2006 and became part of the Assa Abloy Group.

As a member of the Assa Abloy Group, Adams-Rite continues to design and manufacture door hardware for the commercial, institutional and industrial construction industry. One of their latest product introductions is their EX series of exit devices.

EX series exit devices have been tested to over 1 million cycles to ensure durability. Ex devices can be easily cut to length in the field. Monitoring switches and alarm options can also be factory ordered or installed in the field. All Adams Rite EX devices meet ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 standards.
