Codelocks Expands with New Head Office

Codelocks Ltd, innovative designer and manufacturer of standalone keyless door, locker and cabinet locks have moved into a new purpose built UK head office in Newbury’s Greenham Business Park. As well as offering a better working environment for its employees, the new 7100 sq. ft. building also has the facilities to enable the company to provide its customers with advanced technical support and training.

Founded in Newbury in 1990, Codelocks started with a small office with just four staff. It now boasts offices in America, Australia and China with a workforce of over 175 employees including technical experts, customer service advisors and production and assembly teams. The company’s move is driven by the need to expand its UK operations to meet increasing demand for its range of stylish push-button mechanical locks, digital electronic and wireless ‘smart’ locks.

Desmond Ryan, Chairman and founder of Codelocks comments on Codelocks rapid expansion and move: “We are excited about the growth we are experiencing and this move represents a commitment to continue to build on the success our team has accomplished over the past 25 years.

“It was important to maintain a central UK location, so keeping our head office in Newbury, supporting our customers, distributors and the local community made sense. The opportunity to have a new purpose-built facility on the Greenham Business Park, enables us to prepare for our next stage of growth as we expand our overseas markets and introduce new products that use the latest electronic technology, to help customers better control access in buildings.”

Master Lock Adds 4 Display Boards

MILWAUKEE, WIS. –  The Master Lock Company is introducing four more new merchandise display boards. Designed to help locksmiths better serve their customers, these educational information boards follow the debut of the Master Lock® Commercial Laminated and Edge® Key Control display boards that were launched and widely accepted in May.

The newest display boards feature American Lock® Harsh Environments, American Lock High Security, Safety Lockout and Master Lock Commercial Magnum® products. Each polycarbonate board measures 15 inches by 20 inches and can be conveniently displayed on peg board or slat wall. Optional counter stands are also available.

American Lock products have earned a reputation for durability under the toughest conditions, and the Harsh Environments display board is a good example. It presents the American Lock models that provide security in dirty, corrosive and caustic environments. The board features solid body stainless steel, solid brass, solid aluminum and the covered Weatherbuilt™ padlocks.

Customers can learn and compare the different shackle, cylinder and keying options. The display board also includes pertinent information on how to build an individual lock system, a common theme throughout the product line with options such as Edge Key Control, BumpStop™ and personalized laser engraving.

The American Lock High Security display board also features four solid steel commercial-grade models that exhibit maximum strength performance while protecting property outdoors. Built with a hardened boron shackle, these locks are designed to withstand cutting, drilling, sawing, pulling, prying and corrosion, and are shown in a variety of widths and heights.

The Master Lock Commercial Magnum display board features the newest padlock to reach the marketplace. Introduced earlier this month at the ALOA Convention & Expo, these laminated padlocks encased in stainless steel received high praise from locksmiths for their security and weather enhancements for commercial applications. The board shows how the octagonal, chrome-plated boron-carbide shackle is 50% harder than hardened steel, making it an ideal choice for outdoor, corrosive and caustic environments.

The Safety Lockout display board showcases the company’s industry-leading safety padlocks and lockout devices. They are designed to protect employees from the release of hazardous energy and help meet OSHA safety compliance requirements.

While explaining the advantages of Zenex™ thermoplastic, anodized aluminum and powder-coated aluminum padlock models, the board identifies many benefits including over 80,000 unique key codes to meet any system needs. The 420 Hasp and a trio of devices - the S3081 Adjustable Ball Valve Lockout, S806 Adjustable Cable Lockout and the 493B Circuit Breaker Lockout - are featured.

Locksmiths wanting any of the merchandise display boards for their businesses should contact their local Master Lock representative or preferred security hardware distributor. For more information about Master Lock, visit www.masterlock.com.
