Medeco Wins 2016 Campus Safety BEST Award

Salem, Va. – Medeco® Security Locks, a high security product manufacturer and ASSA ABLOY Group company located in Salem, Va., won a Campus Safety BEST Award on July 25, 2016 during the Opening Session of the Campus Safety Conference East in National Harbor, Md. Medeco XT Data Analytics was recognized in the Access Control & Identity Management category.

Medeco XT Data Analytics is a powerful analytics tool that is built into the XT Web Manager software program. It leverages the data collected from Medeco XT intelligent keys and cylinders, giving security administrators the ability to quickly see access trends so they can act on the data. “XT Data Analytics is a time-saving feature that eliminates the need to search through hundreds or thousands of audit records to spot trends or to see something out of the ordinary,” said Gene Cronin, Medeco XT Product Line Manager.  “Administrators need quick visibility of problems occurring within their facility. Data Analytics provides a visual tool that immediately highlights inappropriate behavior within the system. This is a real game changer when it comes to audit trail analysis.”

Medeco XT Data Analytics lets you know who might be “fishing” for access, or trying to gain access to areas where they do not belong.  Additionally, the visual dashboard graphics show access trends that can highlight inefficiencies within certain work environments for even more value.

“Our ultimate goal is to make this software an invaluable tool when it comes to a customer’s intelligent key system,” added Cronin. “All software enhancements are driven by customer feedback. Medeco’s commitment is to give administrators what they need to do their jobs more effectively. There is nothing else out there like XT Data Analytics.”
