Borgmeier Receives 2016 BHMA Award of Excellence

The Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA) proudly presents Dave Borgmeier, FDAI and vice president of Schiller Architectural Hardware and Door Systems, with the 2016 Award of Excellence for his outstanding service and commitment to the building construction industry.

Each year, BHMA distinguishes a non-member distributor or hardware professional who has demonstrated superior service when it comes to meeting the needs of architects, contractors, users and manufacturers from across the country. Based in Schiller's Lexington, KY office, Dave has worked for the company for 27 years, where he is responsible for managing all aspects of the division, including identifying and securing contracts; seeking growth opportunities; and supervising installation crews to ensure deliverables are met to the highest standard of quality.

“Dave has been praised by his peers as a visionary who holds true to service and quality,” said Ralph Vasami, the executive director of BHMA. “His professionalism and dedication to customer service truly exemplify what the Award of Excellence stands for.”

Founded in 1929, Schiller Architectural Hardware is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of commercial door frames and hardware. It is also one of Kentucky's largest access and video integrators. Schiller supplies divisions 8, 10, 27 and 28, pre-installing its hardware on its exclusive automated line.
