Lyons Joins NAPCO

Amityville, NY -- Napco Security Technologies, Inc. has appointed Dave Lyons as Napco Vice President Sales, Intrusion, Connected Home & Fire Division, reporting to Jorge Hevia, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing for all divisions. Lyons comes to Napco with a long, successful career, as chief sales leader at security and fire companies, including both Honeywell’s System Sensor® and Interlogix®.

Paxton Adds Sales Managers

Greenville, SC –Paxton, a market leader of IP access control, door entry and building intelligence systems, has appointed Dale Clement to the position of Regional Sales Manager for the Western US region and Paul deLaski to the position of Regional Sales Manager for the Northeast US Region.

They will take the responsibility of establishing, maintaining and developing business relationships, monitoring sales and industry trends, and identifying new market opportunities for Paxton Access.

Clement joins Paxton with over 24 years’ experience in the security industry, previously holding roles at Napco Security Group and Rosslare Security.

deLaski brings over 30 years of security industry experience to Paxton with previously held roles in management and sales at ADT, Northern Computers, and Keyscan.

IDN-Hardware Sales Hosts 27th Annual Trade Show

IDN-Hardware Sales hosted its 27th annual Trade Show and Security Conference March 16-19, 2016 in Novi, MI. The show’s NASCAR theme, “Join Use in the Winner’s Circle,” included a Sim-Car for customers placing best time trials for fun competition and valuable prizes.

With emphasis on education, IDN-Hardware Sales offered over 65 hours of classes for locksmiths including safe opening, code compliance, door installation, school security hardware, automotive updates, CCTV/DVR breakthroughs, access control solutions, and much more. Classes were held Wednesday, March 16 through Saturday, March 19.

The IDN-Hardware Sales Michigan Trade Show was filled with over 70 manufacturers displaying items as diverse as automotive products, locksmith tools, padlocks, access control, CCTV, safes, safe locks, key machines, doors & frames, electronic access control, and both residential and commercial locks. There was something for every locksmith to see and hundreds of locksmiths made the trip to the Detroit area for the show.

Vanderbilt Bolsters Executive Team

Glen Greer will serve as Director of Product Lines; Kim Loy assumes the role of Director of Marketing; and Eric Widlitz joins the company as Vice President of Sales for North America.

Greer has joined Vanderbilt as Director of Product Lines, working closely with the company’s Intrusion, Access Control and Video Surveillance solutions groups to identify future product enhancements and opportunities for innovation. He is based in Dublin, Ireland. Greer has served as Vice President of Radionics (acquired by Bosch), President of Casi-Rusco (acquired by GE) and Vice President of Shared Technologies, Assa Abloy AB.

As Director of Marketing, Loy will oversee Vanderbilt’s global marketing and lead generation efforts, as well as drive strategic marketing activities and focus on the development of technology partnerships that increase Vanderbilt’s reach. She replaces Andrew Morgan, who will retire from the company at the end of the year. Loy will be based in Dublin, Ireland.  Loy joins Vanderbilt from Pelco by Schneider Electric, where she was Vice President of Marketing. She previously served as Vice President of Global Marketing and Chief Product Officer for DVTEL; General Manager and Executive Vice President of the Security Business Unit for Xtralis; and held various senior management positions with G4S, GE Security and Siemens. A frequent speaker and industry contributor, Loy has served on the Security Industry Association (SIA) Board of Directors and as chair of the Access Control Industry Group for SIA.   

 As Vice President of Sales, North America, Widlitz will be responsible for the management of the North American sales team, while remaining focused on the company growth. Additionally, he will work with existing channel partners, while expanding technology and integration relationships into underserved areas. Widlitz spent the last 20 years with HID Global, where he served in such roles as Managing Director of Identity and Access Management, Americas; Vice President, OEM Channel and Government Applications; Manager of Technology and Government Applications; and Western Regional Sales Representative.
