Camden Introduces 36” Tall ‘Side Load’ Push Plate Switches
Camden has introduced a new line of 'Side Load' Column push plate switches. These switches are installed by mounting the activation plate directly onto the back switch assembly with six screws. They are designed for use when an obstruction above the installed switch prevents the use of a Top Load' model. These switches incorporate an enclosed backbox. Ideal when mounting the switch where the back is visible, or when selecting the option for Kinetic wireless or DPDT switches, or where it is desired to mount the Column Switch to narrow curtain wall.
The CM-84 and CM-85 Series extruded aluminum Column switches are ADA, OBC, NBC, CSA, and CSBC compliant. They have a 3" (75mm) wide activation plate, are available in clear aluminum, black, bronze, and blue architectural finishes, and have a wide range of faceplate graphic options. There is also an option for a built-in hands-free sensor, Lazerpoint battery power, and Kinetic no-battery wireless transmitter.
Column push plate switches offer greater convenience, better aesthetics and a lower installation cost by providing a single activation device instead of two high/low switches, as required by a growing number of building codes.
