The new RAC5 multifloor access controller (MFC) from dormakaba improves security for high-traffic elevator use, particularly in multifamily-living environments. It’s designed to operate in online or stand-alone applications. In online mode, the RAC5 MFC connects to a building’s IT network and has the capability to restrict access up to 64 floors per device.
“The RAC5 MFC is a next generation remote access controller,” says Melanie Greene, senior mulithousing product manager at dormakaba. “It is mobile access-enabled and supports Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) credentials for use with dormakaba’s Mobile Access Solutions, allowing seamless movement by residents and guests throughout the property.”
RAC5 provides access control and security for multifamily-facility elevator applications. Key user benefits include:
- A modern aesthetic look and design and uses new or existing SR Readers.
- Faster, easier, contactless near field communication programming.
- Optimal online functionality, including real-time audits with Ambiance or Community Software.
- Secure authentication for improved security.
- Up to 64 additional relays per device.
- Easy installation.
