BEST Dual-Layer Proximity & Keypad Reader

The new BEST PKP reader is a proximity reader and keypad designed to function with BEST Offline V and Wi-Q product lines. For cylindrical, mortise and exit trim devices, the PKP reader keypad allows for dual verification by prompting users to present a credential, enter a PIN or both. BEST PKP readers function with multiple 125-kilohertz and 13.56-megahertz credential types.

Additional features include:

  • Prevents spreading germs with antimicrobial bezel for enhanced cleanliness.
  • Enforcement of both card presentation and PIN entry for secured areas.
  • Temporary or permanent PIN with designated access privileges for applications where cards aren’t issued.
  • Minimizes malfunction because of dust and debris accumulation through a membrane-style keypad surface.
