ASSA ABLOY Acquires Service Provider/Distributor

    ASSA ABLOY has acquired Capitol Door Service, a pedestrian door distributor and service company in California, Nevada and Arizona. Terms weren’t disclosed.

    “I am very pleased to welcome Capitol Door Service into the ASSA ABLOY Group,” says Nico Delvaux, president and CEO of ASSA ABLOY. “I welcome this complementary addition, which specializes in entrance automation, to our business.”

    Capitol Door Service was founded in 1956 and has about 50 employees. The company is headquartered in Sacramento, California.

    “Capitol Door Service, with its strong market position, will further strengthen our geographic coverage in the Western U.S.,” says Markus Kast, head of pedestrian entrance systems. “I welcome the team to ASSA ABLOY, and I am convinced that we will continue our successful journey together.”
