The increasing complexity of today’s vehicles security systems prompted Autel to develop its MaxiIM tablets that combine the company’s long-proven diagnostic prowess with advanced immobilizer and key programming software. Indeed, the Autel MaxiIM line is aimed to meet the demands of automotive locksmiths and NASTF Vehicle Security Professionals of every skill level.
First up is the Autel MaxiIM KM100 package. It’s composed of the KM100 key-generating and immobilizer programming tablet and two IKEYs. The Autel IKEY is a universal programmable smart key that can be programmed to replace smart keys for more than 700 vehicles, including those made by BMW, Hyundai, Nissan, Chrysler, Ford, Honda and General Motors. IKEY is available in more than 30 designs. It comes in two- to seven-button configurations that support different vehicle functions, such as trunk release, remote start, panic, air suspension, convertible top, and OE-like models. The IKEY can be generated for specific vehicles via the sleek, 5.5-inch KM100 tablet and also with Autel’s MaxiIM IM608 and IM508.
In addition to key generation with the IKEY, the KM100 can read or write and clone transponders, support immobilizer learning via onboard diagnostics for 90 percent of vehicle brands, detect and read frequencies, and support Key Learning for 36 vehicle brands and transponder editing for 20 supported protocols. ID63 or ID83 conversion also is supported. Advanced immobilizer functions include read or display of IMMO system information, such as ECU, VIN and PIN code. Special functions include ignition coil detection and key unlock, including the Toyota Smart unlocking function. The tablet's VINScan feature enables rapid vehicle identification.
The IM508 is a 7-inch all-systems diagnostic and all-service Android-based touchscreen tablet capable of programming keys and immobilizers on domestic and Asian vehicles. The IM508’s capabilities include Key Learning, Remote Control Learning and Key and Remote Control Adding. The tool provides diagnostics and service functions.
The MaxiIM IM608 is a larger 10-inch more advanced key-programming and diagnostic Android-based tablet that has expert-level IMMO and key programming functionality, including the capability to perform Add/Remove/All Keys Lost key learning on domestic, Asian and European vehicles. The IM608 can perform key learning directly through the OBD-II port on 85 percent of vehicles in North America. The tablet can read the immobilizer pins and password directly from the vehicle and store this information to use later when learning the newly programmed keys to a vehicle.
