TigerSHARK2 by HPC

It used to be that you needed to carry a camera for taking pictures, a phone for making calls, and a pen for writing notes. Now we can do all that, check emails, and much more on one device, our smartphone.

The same advancements seem to be happening with Key Machines. The days of long workbenches filled with duplicators, code machines (like the HPC Blitz™), and specialty machines may be a thing of the past.

The TigerSHARK2 looks like an all-inclusive machine and touts the ability to cut almost every key you sell. It is a heavy-duty machine, ideal for a store and may be the answer to an overcrowded service vehicle.

It can cut, decode, and cut by code commercial and residential keys as well as double-side and high-security automotive keys. Plus, it has a rotating cutter-head for making angle cuts for Medeco. I have been told that Sargent Degree and Corbin Russwin Access is right around the corner.

With just these features, the TigerSHARK2 seems like a machine worth taking a closer look at.  But there is more; additional adapters are available so that you can decode and cut Tubular Keys, Tibbe Keys, and Dimple Keys.

HPC believes that it has created something that could possibly be the Ultimate Locksmith Key Machine. Understanding that multi-purpose machines can be a big purchase for the average Locksmith, the TigerSHARK2 is priced less than, but can do more than, some of its competitors. Plus, all adapters and replacement cutters are extremely affordable, and updates for the TigerSHARK2 are downloadable for free.

The benefits of getting your next Key Machine from a domestic manufacturer is that you also get local Technical Support and Service, if either is ever needed. Too often we are lured in by machine that looks like a great deal from a foreign land only to find that we have nowhere to turn when something goes wrong. HPC has been around since 1956 and has always had the Locksmith’s best interest in mind. Their commitment to this machine goes beyond their 2-year warranty. HPC considers any owner of a TigerSHARK2 as part of their family and encourages questions, comments, and ideas for making this machine better. HPC is really trying to be a manufacturer that listens.

There are many other features that make the TigerSHARK2 stand out. You have the ability to search, by key blank, code, manufacturer, or key machine designation. If you can’t find what you are looking for, you can create your own key from scratch or by duplicating an existing key and tweaking the measurements. And a built-in Customer Database helps you tie key information directly to your customers.

Setting up your new TigerSHARK2 is very easy. In fact, HPC asks every new owner to contact them and they will walk you through unpacking and calibrating your new machine. They’re goal is for you to have the best experience possible as they guide you through cutting your first key.

The TigerSHARK2 comes with a Windows® based touch-screen tablet that can sit on your counter, in your hand, or be mounted on the included gooseneck arm on either the left or right side of the machine.

One of the most interesting and exciting features of the TigerSHARK2 is the engraving function. The Jaw is sold separately, but the software is already loaded on your machine. This way, you are ready to start engraving right out of the box.

Perfect for master keying, the engraving function is a feature that can add a professional touch to every key that you sell. You can add multiple lines of text, including your store name, phone number, and key codes, as well as custom graphics. Put your logo on your keys to encourage repeat business. Put the local school mascot of your keys for a fund raiser. Download copyright free graphics from the HPC website or other sources and create your own designer keys.

If you are in the market for a new key machine, it is worth looking at a TigerSHARK2. You can read more about it and see a number of videos of the TigerSHARK2 in action at: www.hudsonlock.com
