The Associated Locksmiths of America, Inc. representing over 10,000 locksmith/security professionals worldwide, is pleased to announce the selection of David M. Lowell, CML, CMST, as the association's new Executive Director, effective December 15th, 2008.
The ALOA Board through its Executive Director Search Committee conducted a five month screening and interview process and is pleased with the selection of a seasoned executive in David Lowell. His experience as a locksmith business owner; former ALOA board member; and president of ALOA, in addition to serving for the past 10 1/2 years as a professional association staff manager in his role as Director of Training and Certification, provides the association with the experience, knowledge of the industry and management expertise that will provide continuity in the administration of the association as well as provide the executive leadership that is required to continue to elevate ALOA as the leader in the locksmith/security professional industry.
As the ALOA Executive Director, David is the Chief Staff Officer reporting to the ALOA Board of Directors; in addition he will be fulfilling the same position for the Safe & Vault Technicians Association, a wholly owned subsidiary of ALOA and the ALOA Scholarship Foundation.
David Lowell is based at ALOA's headquarters in Dallas, Texas.
