Lockmasters’ Little Black Box AMSEC Update

Nov. 12, 2020

Lockmasters announced an update for its Little Black Box (LBB) safe lock opening tool. The AMSEC Update 4:

  • Resets and gives a working master and reset code for AMSEC ESL10 and ESL20 series locks.
  • Resets and gives a working master code for AMSEC ESL5 and ESL15 series locks.
  • Works on all locks listed from the year 2000 until manufacture as of Feb. 1, 2020.

The update is supplied with an AMSEC module and instructions, which fits inside the Little Black Box case.

Just remove the keypad and disconnect the lock body cable, power on the Little Black Box, insert the AMSEC module, connect the lock cable to the module and then follow the on screen prompts to reset the lock’s combination.

A Little Black Box (LKM522) is required to use the AMSEC module (LKM522UP4), and the LKM522 must be sent to Lockmasters for software updating before the module will work.
