Bullseye Keeps An Eye on the Target

Oct. 1, 2015
Locksmiths now have a single source for all popular types of safe deposit locks.

Many safe deposit lock manufacturers have disappeared from the marketplace. As old safe deposit locks fail or are purposely drilled open, replacements are often not available. This void has been filled by James Taylor and his son Jamie Taylor who have built successful careers by making replacement safe deposit locks of every size and shape. This reporter first met James Taylor decades ago when he owned a safe deposit lock manufacturing company called Precision Products. That company was later sold to Ilco.

The Taylors launched Bullseye S.D. Locks LLC in 2001.  The initial intention was to offer replacement Lefebure safe deposit locks.  Many other safe deposit lock types have been added over time. During the last 15 years, the company has grown to the point where they have placed into service over 1 million safe deposit locks in more than a dozen different countries around the world.

Jamie Taylor now operates Bullseye S.D. Locks. His extensive 30-year work background includes working the assembly line at Precision Products, serving as a bank equipment service tech, installing vault doors and bank pneumatic tube systems and also working as a product engineer for Mas Hamilton. Before finally starting Bullseye S.D. Locks in 2001, Jamie Taylor serviced safe deposit locks in Kentucky and worked with exactly the same types of safe deposit locks sold today by Bullseye S.D. Locks.

Replacement safe deposit locks formerly made by companies such as Ilco, Lloyd Matteson, Chubb, Miles, Precision, S&G, Diebold, Mosler, Kumahira, Corbin, MGM ASP, Yale and Lefebure are available from Bullseye S.D.
