SE LP10 Integrated Wiegand Access Control Lock

April 23, 2015

Corbin Russwin, an ASSA ABLOY Group Brand, introduces its SE LP10 Integrated Wiegand Access Control Lock, which combines the convenience of ASSA ABLOY’s Integrated Wiegand technology with the heightened security and flexibility of multiCLASS SE® smart card technology from HID Global®.

The SE LP10 is an Integrated Wiegand lock that incorporates all standard access control components including the card reader, door position switch and request-to-exit monitoring sensors into a single device. This integrated approach significantly reduces installation time and system complexity in a product that is compact and unobtrusive. An open architecture platform ensures compatibility with all popular access control systems.

The SE LP10 features HID multiCLASS SE technology to provide simultaneous support for a wide variety of high-frequency 13.56 MHz and low-frequency 125 kHz credential type s including HID Prox®, HID iCLASS®, HID iCLASS SE® (SIO-enabled), HID iCLASS® Seos™, HID MIFARE® SE, HID iCLASS DESfire® EV1 SE, MIFARE Classic, and DESfire EV1. The SE LP10 also supports HID Mobile Access® powered by Seos®, offering support for both iOS® and Android™ mobile devices.

The SE LP10’s reader uses intelligent power management to reduce reader power consumption by up to 75 percent and the mortise locks feature ASSA ABLOY’s exclusive EcoFlex™ technology, which reduces energy consumption by up to 96 percent as certified by GreenCircle. The mortise locks are field-configurable to fail-safe or fail-secure. The SE LP10’s lockdown capability enables it to immediately secure areas from a central security system.

“In today’s ever-evolving access control environment many organizations find themselves deploying mixed credentials or moving from one type of credential to a newer and often more secure one,” said Peter Boriskin, Director of Product Management – EAC, ASSA ABLOY Americas. “Our new SE LP10 Integrated Wiegand lock offers an ideal all-in-one access control solution for organizations that need an easy, cost-effective transition to different credential technologies.”

The SE LP10 provides direct Wiegand output, which eliminates the need for an interface panel. It’s provided with ASSA ABLOY’s pre-terminated ElectroLynx® connectors for reduced installation time and cost and improved reliability.
