April 11, 2013

Access control administrators can the new aptiQ SUSB89 USB Reader or aptiQ Serial Enrollment Reader to enroll smart cards into their access control system on their own computer. No software is required to operate either reader. Both readers function on any operating system. This automatic transfer of information makes it much easier for the user and saves significant time.

Each reader is compatible with aptiQ smart credentials, including MIFARE® Classic and MIFARE DESfire® EV1, both of which provide higher security than traditional proximity cards. They also recognize PIV (Personal Identify Verification) cards as used by the Federal government and its contractors.
