SAFEZONE

Norton Door Controls introduces the SafeZone™ door closer/holder that senses movement in the door opening and holds the door open.  The SafeZone electromechanical closer/holder features a sensor that can be set to detect movement in one or two directions through the opening - enter only, exit only or enter and exit. The zone size and sensor direction angle can be increased or decreased, depending on the requirements of the application.  Hold open time and sensitivity of the SafeZone are also selectable.  Consequently, a physically disabled person in a wheelchair, an elderly person moving slowly, or a child who stops to pick up a toy all are able to move through the door opening at their own speed - through their own customized "zone of safety."

Configured for either push- or pull-side mounting,  power engages only when motion is detected.  SafeZone extends door life and minimizes wear and tear on hardware by limiting unnecessary cycles.  SafeZone is available in either 120VAC or 24VAC/DC inputs. Information: www.nortondoorcontrols.com.
