Dual Sense Bar

Jan. 21, 2010

Securitron introduces the next generation of their popular Touch Sense exit bars with the release of the Dual Sense Bar. The DSB is designed for use on magnetically locked non-fire-rated doors and is engineered to address the most current UBC life safety codes with respect to egress through magnetically locked doors. It combines the company's patented Touch Sense technology with 1/8" natural mechanical bar movement. Applying the mechanical function creates the opportunity to add the redundant movement-activated switching circuit now required by code officials in certain metro areas. The DSB goes one step further by adding two switches to the movement-activated circuit which provides triple redundancy and unmatched safety.
The DSB is the only exit bar that will effectively release a magnetic lock by touching any part of the product surface from any direction. It is available with two options an illuminated "push to exit" sign provided through an internal fiber optic strip for greater visibility especially in low lighting conditions and Microshield antimicrobial coating for germ resistance often required in health care applications.
