BHMA Issues Standard on Bored and Preassembled Locks and Latches
The Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA) announces the publication of ANSI/BHMA A156.2-2011 American National Standard for Bored and Preassembled Locks and Latches.
This standard is a revision of ANSI/BHMA A156.2-2003 and it establishes performance requirements for bored and preassembled locks and latches, and includes tests on cycles, strength, operation, security, material evaluation, finishes and dimensional criteria.
All testing is described in the standard with pictures, guidelines, and conditions that the product tests have been completed with.
