May 8, 2014

LAS VEGAS, May 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- SentrySafe is launching its newly redesigned line of chests and files and new digital alarm safes at the 2014 National Hardware Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center, May 6-8, 2014. Designed, developed and manufactured in the U.S., these feature upgrades were inspired by customers' changing organizational, security and storage needs. Creating peace of mind for important documents, hard-to-replace records (digital and paper) and personal memorabilia, the new safes provide reliable protection from threats like flood and fire. Based on consumer feedback, the new safes have been designed with features that provide confidence that they can withstand the unpredictable conditions of a house fire and flood.

"At SentrySafe, we protect so much more than documents and files," said Jim Brush, president and CEO. "We have learned from our consumers that they are storing the memories and items most important to them and their family. That's why it's important that SentrySafe continues to innovate and reinvent the category, offering products that provide peace of mind for a lifetime."

While SentrySafe is launching chests, files and digital alarm safes at the 2014 National Hardware Show, these are just five of the new models being debuted from their respective product categories.

Newly Designed Chests and Files
Waterproof and fire-resistant, the FHW40200 large upright file is ideal for important and hard-to-replace documents, such as house deeds, mortgage papers, birth certificates and marriage licenses. The file can also protect irreplaceable personal items, from family photos and wedding albums to a child's baby book. The safe was redesigned with a durable body, flush-mounted faceplate and key lock to help keep important documents private. The new integrated handles make the file easy to carry. The safe accommodates hanging file folders, making organizing, accessing and protecting vital home/office documents and personal memorabilia simpler than ever. The FHW40200 features reliable fire protection and is UL classified for up to 30 minutes of fire protection at 1,550° F. It is ETL verified for water submersion and ETL verified for fire protection of digital media, such as CDs, DVDs and USB drives.

The CHW30100 and CHW21101 SentrySafe Waterproof Fire-Resistant Chests have a sleek new design, providing true peace of mind. The flush-mounted faceplates and rugged body design embody the strength and reliable protection of SentrySafe. While the CHW21101 is .28 cu. ft. and the CHW30100 is .36 cu ft. (offering 25 percent more storage), both chests can hold 8.5" x 11" papers that can lay flat.

The chests allow consumers to protect important documents, personal items and keepsakes from unexpected threats of fire and flood, and keep prying eyes away. They feature reliable fire protection and are UL classified for up to 30 minutes of fire protection at 1,550° F.

Both chests are ETL verified for water submersion and ETL verified for fire protection of digital media, such as CDs, DVDs and USB drives. The CHW30100 waterproof fire-resistant chest will be available in July and the CHW21101 will be available in May 2014.

New Digital Alarm Safes
SentrySafe announces a new line of digital alarm safes. The SFW123TTC and SFW205TWC are equipped with hidden touch keypad entry and a loud audible alarm, providing modern enhancements to protect against theft. The safe's alarm will alert its owner in the event the safe is moved, tampered with or five wrong code attempts are entered. Designed to protect digital media, documents, jewelry and other personal keepsakes from fire, water and theft, these safes have 60 percent bigger bolts than traditional safes and a full-length pry-resistant hinge bar to provide additional security against unauthorized access. The internal features help the user keep important documents and valuables organized. The safes also feature reliable fire protection and are UL classified for up to one hour of fire endurance at 1,700° F. They will be available in late 2014.
