Sept. 18, 2013
Program Recognizes Security's Most Innovative Products, Services and Solutions, all on display next week at ASIS.

ASIS International has selected its 2013 ASIS Accolades Award winners.  ASIS Accolades is an awards competition that recognizes the security industry’s most innovative new products, services, and/or solutions.

The 10 winners will be recognized at the ASIS International 59th Annual Seminar and Exhibits (ASIS 2013), the security industry’s leading event, held Sept. 24-27 at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL. More than 20,000 security, business, and government professionals from 90 countries are expected to attend ASIS 2013. The event’s comprehensive education program will offer 200+ sessions in 24 specialty tracks, addressing the hottest topics and issues in security today.  The ASIS Exhibits features 600+ companies that are showcasing exciting products and services that are transforming the security industry

A team of judges representing end users and experts in security technologies evaluated all entries and selected the top 10 winners.

“This year’s entries again display the unique innovation, creativity, and functionality of the products and services on the market today,” observed Accolades Co-Chair Ron Lander, CPP. “Advances in access systems and video surveillance technology impressed the judges this year as did the overall high quality of these products,” noted Co-Chair Howard Belfor, CPP.

The Accolades awards will be presented at a luncheon on Tuesday, Sept. 24. All entrants have been invited to display their entries in the Accolades Showcase in the exhibit hall and they can be previewed online now at the Accolades site.  Winners will be highlighted, along with other new products, during the Seminar’s “What’s New on the Floor” session, on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 1:45 p.m. in Room S100BC of McCormick Place.

Additionally, for the first time, attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite submission. Voting will be done on Tues., Sept. 24 and Wed., Sept. 25 via the ASIS 2013 mobile app and using voting kiosks located in the Accolades Showcase on the exhibit floor. The winner of the People’s Choice Award will be announced on Thurs., Sept. 26 at the luncheon.
