Medeco Electronic Keys Allow Remote Access Programming Via IP or Bluetooth Interfaces

March 28, 2012

LAS VEGAS, NV, March 28, 2012 — Medeco High Security Locks, an ASSA ABLOY company, announces the addition of remote key programming to its Web Hosting Solutions for Logic CLIQ and Nexgen XT.

Remote key programming adds to the security and flexibility of Medeco eCylinder applications by allowing system administrators to remotely program Logic and Nexgen XT keys from any location in the world using web-based software.  Administrators are no longer required to physically visit a door or have possession of a key to make changes to access rights, or to capture audit information. Changes to access rights, and retrieval of audit data are made via IP or Bluetooth based programming devices that can be located anywhere in the world and that connect via the internet to the administrative system.

“Security Administrators may now program eCylinder keys from anywhere, anytime; without having to visit the opening,” said Joseph Kingma, Director of ASSA ABLOY High Security and Aftermarket Group eCylinder Business Development.  Adding, “This new functionality makes eCylinders ideal for many commercial application, and is evidence of Medeco’s commitment to add robust features to support the growing trend of companies requiring cloud-based software solutions.”

Remote Programming is ideal for installations that span large geographic areas or where access to keys or openings may be inconvenient and will be demonstrated at ISC West 2012 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada from March 28 – 30, 2012.

Medeco is part of the ASSA ABLOY group, and can be found at the ISC West show at booth #11065. For more information visithttp://www.assaabloy.com/en/com/.
