Marks USA’s custom lockset design matches the striking architectural form of The Visionaire, located at the southern tip of Battery Park City, a 92- acre community with 35 acres of open park space bordering New York’s Hudson River.
Architect Raphael Pelli of Pelli Clarke Pelli, envisioned streamlined contours and focused on how The Visionaire was perceived from within, optimizing natural light and river and city views. The Visionaire has received LEED Platinum certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, marking it as the greenest residential condominium in the United States. MARKS USA Custom Lockset Division locksets are manufactured from metals using mixes of virgin and recycled metals (post consumer) to reduce environmental impacts from extracting and processing virgin materials.
MARKS USA also brings a unique design to The Brompton in New York City. The Custom Lockset Division manufactured solid brass, nickel-plated leversets for this 22-story luxury condominium located in Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The use of such an unusual design was only fitting for a building as sophisticated and unique as The Brompton.
Designed by Robert A.M. Stern architects, LLP, ‘The Brompton’s’ red brick and limestone facade is gothic inspired. Registered with the U.S. Green Building Council in anticipation of LEED silver certification, The Brompton is energy efficient and uses sustainable building materials and is designed to conserve water.
