Mul-T-Lock Traka 21

May 14, 2015

Developed to better manage and track access to valuable assets, Mul-T-Lock Traka 21 is plug n’ play system that offers the latest innovative key management capabilities. Mul-T-Lock’s Traka  21 automates what for many organizations remains a weak link: Managing critical keys, and more importantly, managing access to the assets those keys protect.

Traka 21, an electronic key management system, which combines innovative RFID technology and a robust design secures, monitors and creates permission-based access for keys, automatically controlling and recording when a key is used and by whom - information which can easily be viewed on the cabinet’s built-in screen or exported to a USB drive.   The standalone system is easy to deploy yet incorporates the latest in intelligent key management capabilities. Traka 21 creates new levels of transparency and accountability by locking every key, or keyset, into place with securely attached iFobs that cannot be released without an authorized PIN code. The Traka 21 cabinet not only houses keys and keysets, but restricts access, records user actions, sets key-return curfews and more.

Mul-T-Lock developed Traka 21 in response to the fact that in spite of the increasing sophistication of commercial security, the way in which most organizations protect and monitor access to facilities, equipment, lockers, vehicles and other valuable assets remains largely uncontrolled and unmonitored.  Mul-T-Lock USA Marketing Manager Sheri Butts explains, “Keys are exactly as important as the assets they are intended to protect, but all too often they’re not treated with the same regard.  Traka 21 not only keeps track of keys and thereby of assets, but also creates accountability and responsibility among key holders.”
