ALOA Institutional Locksmiths (AIL) Division to provide benefits to in-house locksmith members

ALOA Security Professional Association, Inc. (ALOA SPAI) announces the formation of a new division developed to meet the unique needs of institutional locksmiths. ALOA Institutional Locksmiths (AIL) division will soon commence operations to provide benefits to their members who work as in-house locksmiths.

“Institutional locksmiths have been under-served for a very long time. We are forming this new division in order to rectify that situation. AIL will provide comprehensive services and benefits that are tailored to meet the unique occupational needs of our in-house locksmith members,” says Tom Demont, AHC, CAI, CFDI, IFDI, CFL, CMIL, CML, CPS, ARL, president of ALOA SPAI. “Broad-based support is in place from institutional locksmiths within our membership ranks, as well as from across the country, who have been clamoring for ALOA SPAI to provide these services. The time is right to set this plan in motion.”

Demont has asked long-time institutional locksmith, John Truempy, CMIL, CRL, IFDI, to be the first director of AIL. Truempy has been an institutional locksmith for over 25 years, and has over 15 years of association management experience, serving as president, chairman-of-the board and director for numerous organizations. Truempy is also a highly respected locksmith industry author and instructor.

"I can't wait to get started on this project. It's long overdue." Truempy continues, "ALOA SPAI will be able to provide the professional resources necessary to develop the programs that our institutional members want and need."

The ALOA Institutional Locksmiths is dedicated to increasing and enhancing the technical skills of its members through education and certification. By partnering with locksmith, security and door hardware industry companies and organizations, we strive to provide a safe and secure environment for our employers, co-workers and patrons utilizing technical expertise and professionalism.

Institutional locksmiths who are currently members of ALOA SPAI will automatically be enrolled in AIL. They will also be able to use the new AIL logo immediately.
