IML Los Angeles Expo A Crowd-Pleaser

July 22, 2014

During the three days of March 17-19, 2011, Intermountain Lock & Security Supply presented their Los Angeles IML Expo, covering 16 classes on Thursday and Friday and cumulating in the spectacular Saturday Expo.

A sampling of the educational opportunities included Breaking & Entering (legally of course), Marketing Skills to Grow Your Business, Codes – ADA Law, Introduction to PC-Based Access Control, Automotive Service Update and the ALOA PRP Exam.

The Expo was a great success. More than 75 manufacturers were represented offering “once a year pricing” on show specials. In addition, there were the Big 5 special deals on the Abus Security Chain, Amsec Electronic Pistol Box, Schlage Keypad Deadbolt, Lucky Line Lighted Collapse-A-Cone and the Master Lock Python Cable Lock.

The show floor was packed with more than 600 security professionals who attended the Expo, an 11 percent increase over 2010. The food was there from the start at 10 a.m. until the Expo ended at 2 p.m. Guests feasted on hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, shrimp cocktail, a shank of beef at the carving station, make your own fajita bar and fresh baked cookies and brownies.

While shopping and eating, 80 door prizes and three cash drawings were raffled off throughout the show.

For those who did not have the opportunity to attend in LA, Intermountain Lock & Security Supply will host IML EXPO 2011 at Invesco Field in Denver, Colo., on June 24th; the Sheraton Downtown in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Sept. 23rd and at the Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nev., on Nov.10th, 2011.
