To conduct this major competition Architectural Record assembled a panel of leading architects, designers, and product specifiers to review and rate hundreds of products on their design, innovation, and functionality. SureClose ‘ReadyFit’ was introduced earlier this year with external mounting that is more conducive to retrofit installations. ReadyFit models come with side-fixing legs for quick alignment and multiple, double-face fixing points for superior strength. Additionally, ReadyFit comes with vertical alignment slots while horizontal adjustment is controlled via the built-in adjustment feature.

SureClose offers internal or external mounting and comes with mounting brackets that cover most any square post installation, including steel or aluminum, flush mounted or center mounted, fastened or welded, with adjustable self-closing speed. Models are also available that feature a final snap action for overcoming electric or coded locks found in many security applications and a non-self-closing version designed for large estate gates up to 1,500 lbs. Each self-closing hinge comes with its own adjustment tool (excluding SM model) and gate mounting bracket. Post mounting brackets are sold separately to custom fit the specific application.
