IDN Inc. Launches New Website, Mobile Site

IDN, Inc., International Distribution Network, has launched its newly redesigned and improved web site, www.idn-inc.com. A new Security Solutions section helps security professionals identify common security issues for different types of facilities and offers examples of practical solutions.

Other enhancements include a new product section that allows users to browse and see basic product information at a glance. (Web Store log-in is necessary for full access to customer-specific pricing, product availability, and online ordering.) A new Resource section provides security professionals with easy access to handing charts, finish charts, product selection guides, and more. Events pages have been updated to highlight educational opportunities, trade shows, and other events of interest. Additionally, a mobile version of the website is available for website navigation on a smartphone or tablet.

ASSA ABLOY Acquires Indian Brand ENOX

ASSA ABLOY has signed an agreement to acquire the locks and hardware business under the ENOX brand from Pooja Hardware, one of the market leaders in India.

"I am very pleased that ENOX is joining the ASSA ABLOY Group. ENOX is the Group’s first major entry into the large and fast growing Indian market and will constitute an important building block in our strategy to grow market presence in emerging markets”, says Johan Molin, President and CEO of ASSA ABLOY.

"ENOX is a great addition to the Asia Pacific division. The acquisition adds complimentary business channels and products to our existing Indian business. ENOX will also give us access to a new customer base within the fast growing glass hardware segment", says Magnus Kagevik, Executive Vice President of ASSA ABLOY and Head of Division Asia Pacific.

The acquired business was established in 2007 and has some 220 employees. The head office is located in Mumbai.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close during Q3 2014.

Toshiba Appoints Senior Sales Manager

Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. has promoted Greg Hartzell to Senior Manager- Sales & Marketing for its Surveillance & IP Video Products business unit. Prior to today's announcement, he served as the unit's Channel Sales Manager for 6 years.

AMAG Names Board Chairman, President

In a planned transition effective July 1, 2014,  AMAG’s President and CEO Bob Sawyer will become Chairman of AMAG’s Board of Directors, relinquishing day to day executive management of the company to Matt Barnette, who has been promoted to president.

“Bob Sawyer recently celebrated 40 years of service with AMAG Technology and has been President and CEO for the last 19 years.  During his tenure, AMAG’s revenue growth, market position and expansion has positioned the company as a recognized market leader.  His guidance, leadership and commitment to exceptional customer service have been instrumental in AMAG’s success,” said G4S Technology CEO  Keith Whitelock.
