Allegion Completing Leadership Team

Allegion, a $2 billion global leader in the security and safety industry that will be created upon separation from Ingersoll Rand, has named six additional members of its leadership team. Allegion is expected to become a standalone, publicly-traded company prior to year-end.

The following additional members have been elected officers of the future company:

  • Timothy Eckersley, president of Commercial Americas at Ingersoll Rand, as senior vice president and president of the Americas region
  • Todd Graves, vice president, engineering and technology of Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies, as vice president, engineering and technology
  • Tracy Kemp, vice president, information technology for Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies and Residential Solutions, as vice president and chief information officer
  • Chris Muhlenkamp, vice president, global operations and integrated supply chain at Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies, as vice president, global operations and integrated supply chain
  • William Yu,  president of Security Technologies, Ingersoll Rand, Asia Pacific, as senior vice president and president of the Asia Pacific region

John Stanley, vice president, finance, Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA) region, will also serve as interim EMEIA regional leader.

John Evans, current president of Residential Security Solutions at Ingersoll Rand, will remain in his role until the spinoff is complete, at which point he will remain with Ingersoll Rand. Evans will work closely with Eckersley and Allegion’s leadership team between now and the spinoff to ensure a seamless transition.

Previous leadership appointments were Dave Petratis, chairman and CEO; Patrick Shannon, senior vice president and CFO, whose role has expanded to include global business development; Barbara Santoro, senior vice president, general counsel and secretary; and Ray Lewis, senior vice president of human resources and communications. SimonsVoss Opens Production & Logistics Center

SimonsVoss moved into its new Osterfeld, Germany, production and logistics center during the first week of October.

This new manufacturing facility was urgently required since the former site had already reached the limits of its production capacity. The new premises boasts more than 3,650 m² overall and features an incoming goods area, a manufacturing workshop, a warehouse, a shipping department, quality management and an after-sales centre. SimonsVoss invested around six million euros in the new site.

"The new plant enables us to double our manufacturing capacity for our digital cylinders, our digital Smart Handle door fittings and Smart Relay. This is another step towards ensuring sustainable growth for our company and expanding our market position," explains Bernhard Sommer, Chairman of the Management Board at SimonsVoss Technologies GmbH.

PDQ Adds Utah Distribution Center

PDQ Manufacturing, Leola, Pa., has opened its new  Salt Lake City Distribution Center, which provides enhanced product and parts delivery service across 11 western states. Orders received before 2 p.m. Eastern time by PDQ's Customer Service team are shipped the same day under PDQ's "Priority Quickship" program.

This centrally located facility maintains inventory of PDQ's Priority Quickship products, including mechanical and electronic locks, exit devices, closers, deadbolts, installation accessories and lock parts.  Coverage area for the new center includes Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

Standard UPS ground delivery times are next day throughout Utah, two days throughout the rest of the service area - some exceptions apply.

The distribution center is located at 2507 South 300 West, Salt Lake City, UT 84115, telephone 800-441-9692. Customers may also arrange purchase pickups at the center, which is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. -5 p.m.

PDQ now manages three regional distribution centers; the other two are located in Kansas City, Mo. and Seattle, Wash.

Bob Hasty, CSI-CDT, has joined PDQ Manufacturing as vice president – marketing.

"The regional distribution concept allows us to provide an outstanding customer experience, saving them both time and money.  Inventory mix at each distribution center is aligned with the regional needs of those markets," Hasty says.

AIL Names Board of Directors

ALOA Institutional Locksmithing (AIL) announced its first AIL Board of Directors.

"I'm fortunate to have the opportunity to work with a board of directors of this caliber. Collectively, this board has decades of experience in the locksmith industry , as well as vast experience in association management," explains AIL President John Truempy, ICML, CRL, CMIL, IFDI.

The new board includes:

Director, Jack Walder, CJIL, CFDI, CRL - Walder is a recent past-president of a national locksmith association representing in-house locksmiths. He's worked as a locksmith and sales representative for a major lock hardware supplier and is currently the lock shop supervisor at North Carolina State University.

Director, Dale Bowman, CML, CPP, CJIL - This former Marine is currently the Southeast Regional Director at Medeco Security Locks. He has also recently served in-house locksmiths as secretary of a national association. Bowman will also be the first chairman of the AIL Manufacturers & Distributors Committee.

Trustee, Vernon Kelley, CPL, CFDI, CMIL, IFDI - A locksmith since 1989, Kelley is the Supervisor of Access Control for The College of New Jersey. He has served at the national and local level for numerous locksmith associations, and is a past ALOA SPAI Northeast Director.

Stenette Joins Secura Key

Irasema Chavez Stenette was recently hired as Office Manager at Secura Key, a leading supplier of security access control products.  In her new position, Stenette will be responsible for Customer Service Administration and Human Resources.

Previously, Stenette worked at the Antelope Valley Children’s Bureau as a Program Operations Analyst, where she monitored, tracked and reported on Mental Health Programs, staff performance, patient care, and government compliance.
