PDQ Intruder Cylindrical Lock
PDQ Classroom Intruder Cylinder Locks provide a safe way to determine if the lock is locked. There is an LED and momentary switch installed into the edge of the inside escutcheon base plate. If the lock is locked, pressing the momentary switch will illuminate the LED.
This new Classroom Intruder Cylinder Lock meets ANSI/BHMA A156.2-2011 Grade 1, and is UL 10C Listed for 3 hours. The Intruder Locks are available with exterior levers designed to accommodate conventional lock cylinders, Best Small Format Interchangeable cores, Schlage Large Format Interchangeable cores and other configurations. Contact the factory for specifics. The standard finish is 626 satin chrome. Locks may also be ordered in other finishes.

Automotive Key Shells
Jet Hardware has introduced seven automotive shells, two emergency key blanks and one plastic head key blank. The seven automotive shells permit reusing the customers' components, eliminating the need to program and save the customer money. The emergency keys are for Nissan and Infiniti models. The DA40-PX-PH emergency key does not contain a transponder chip. The DA40-PX-PHT emergency key does contain a Philips Crypto transponder chip.

2014 GM Pickups "V" Key Code Series
For the 2014 model year, General Motors has introduced a new key code series for their full-size pickups. The "V" code series is being used by the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.
This code series is a variation of the "Z" code series used by the 2010 - up Camaro. The "Z" code series has eight cuts and four depths of cut. The "V" code series has ten cuts and four depths of cut.
To increase the number of cuts, General Motors appears to have taken the first two cuts and added them to the end of the key code. For example, the Z0123 key code is 11334231. The V0123 key code is 1133423111, the same as the "V" key code by just adding the first two cuts to the end. Not every "Z" key code number is used by the "V" Code Series. Check when in doubt.
There is a maximum of five of the same depths in a code, of which three can be in a row. A five depth of cut can be adjacent to a number one depth of cut.
A 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup can have as many as five locks: ignition, door, tailgate, stowage and tire.
The original equipment key blank number is 22984996. Additional key blank numbers are:

The transponder is a Philips Crypto. If the keys are not available, these pickups are designed to accept on-board programming for those models built in the United States.
Mul-T-Lock WatchLock
The Mul-T-Lock WatchLock high security padlock takes security to a new level. The padlock shell is hardened steel with a solid brass core. The shackle is hardened boron alloy steel. Car-Opening Techniques: 2007-13 Acura RDX
This month we will offer car-opening techniques for opening the 2007-13 Acura RDX. These four-door luxury SUVs are equipped with shielded locking linkage with a vertical button.
CAUTION: These vehicles are equipped with multilayer weather stripping.
Important: Be sure to remove the wedge prior to bringing the car-opening tool into the passenger compartment. The additional stress that is placed onto the car-opening tool and the glass by the wedge(s) can result in the breaking of the glass.
Be very careful when you contact the lock buttons. Too much force can result in scratching or marring the button.
The following opening methods can be used to unlock the 2007-13 Acura RDX:
Use the High Tech Tools Long Inside Access 89 car-opening tool and a wedge to unlock the front passenger door locking mechanism. Insert the wedge between the window glass and the weather stripping above the rear edge of the inside door release handle. Insert the 89 tool with the front end of the tool facing forward into the front passenger door with the top of the arch directly above the wedge. Once the tool is partially into the door cavity, remove the wedge and reposition so the tool can be slide into the door cavity. Lower the tool until the arch is directly beneath the bottom of the window glass. Rotate the car opening tool counterclockwise until the arch is on the passenger side. Carefully raise the tool until tip is in the passenger compartment. Position the tip of the tool in front of the door lock button. Slide the tool to move the button towards the front of the vehicle to unlock the locking mechanism.
Use the Pro-Lok AO-35 “MCOT-Wide” tool, an AO-33 MCOT-Separator Tool and an inflatable wedge to unlock the rear passenger door locking mechanism. Begin by inserting the inflatable wedge 12 inches from the front edge of the rear passenger door window. Inflate the wedge according to manufacturer’s instructions. Insert the AO-33 tool three inches from the front edge of the window glass with the tip facing rearward. Insert the AO-35 ing tool into the door eight inch from the front edge of the window with the tip facing forward. Lower the tool 14 inches into the door cavity. Rotate the tool until the arch is on the passenger compartment side of the window glass. Deflate the wedge. Carefully lift the AO-33 until the tip is visible in the passenger compartment. Lift the AO-35 tool into the opening created by AO-33 tool until the tip is in the passenger compartment. Work the tool forward three inches. Rotate the tool 75 degrees counterclockwise and manipulate the tip of the tool behind the manual lock-unlock button. Carefully rotate the manual lock-unlock button forward to unlock the door locking mechanism.
Use the Slide Lock AutoBuster III™ and two wedges to unlock the front passenger door locking mechanism. Insert the two wedges towards the front edge of the front passenger door window glass with sufficient room for the AutoBuster III car-opening tool to slide in between. Insert the tool between the window glass and the weather stripping with the operating end facing rearward. Lower the AutoBuster III until the loop is beneath the window glass. Rotate the tool counterclockwise until the loop is on the passenger compartment side of the window glass. Carefully raise the tool until the loop just appears through the weather stripping. Remove the two wedges. Carefully manipulate the car opening tool until the tip contacts the manual lock-unlock button. Carefully manipulate the car opening tool to unlock the locking mechanism.
Use the Tech-Train Productions TT-1025 car-opening tool and two wedges to unlock the front passenger door locking mechanism. Insert the two wedges eight inches apart just forward of the inside vertical locking button. Carefully insert the TT-1025 tool between the wedges into the door cavity with the operating end pointing towards the rear of the vehicle. Lower the tool until the upper bend is beneath the bottom of the glass. Rotate the tool slightly counterclockwise, having the arch on the passenger compartment side of the glass. Carefully raise the tool until it is just visible between the inside weather stripping and the glass. Stop immediately and remove the wedges. Note: Failure to remove the wedges can result is cracking or breaking the window glass.
After the wedges have been removed, slide the tool into the passenger compartment until the tip is visible. Manipulate the tool until the tip is against the thumb-notch in the locking button. With the tip pressed against the thumb-notch, carefully lift the car opening tool in order to raise the button and unlock the door locking mechanism. Follow the manufacturers instructions for removing the car opening tool.

The direction to rotate the 2007-13 Acura RDX passenger door lock plug to the unlocked position is counterclockwise.
