ASIS International Selects 2013 Accolades Winners

ASIS International’s 2013 ASIS Accolades Award winners were recognized at the ASIS International 59th Annual Seminar and Exhibits, held Sept. 24-27 in Chicago, IL. The ASIS Accolades awards competition recognizes the security industry’s most innovative new products, services, and/or solutions.

A team of judges representing end users and experts in security technologies evaluated all entries and selected the top 10 winners.

“This year’s entries again display the unique innovation, creativity, and functionality of the products and services on the market today,” observed Accolades Co-Chair Ron Lander, CPP. “Advances in access systems and video surveillance technology impressed the judges this year as did the overall high quality of these products,” noted Co-Chair Howard Belfor, CPP.

FST21’s newly released Digital Doorman received the 2013 Security’s Best Award. Digital Doorman, an all-in-one In Motion Identification Access Control solution, incorporates the technological advantages of FST21’s SafeRise solution with dedicated hardware and seamless plug-and-play installation.

HID Global has won an ASIS Accolades award for its latest addition to its iCLASS SE platform. The encoder allows organizations to format a wide range of credential technologies, supporting iCLASS Seos®, iCLASS SE, standard iCLASS®, MIFARE® Classic, and MIFARE DESFire® EV1. It also supports 125 MHz HID Prox™ for encoding Prox credentials and migrating from HID Prox to high frequency technologies.

M100 iClassAperio eCylinder, Medeco Security Locks

M100 eCylinder with Aperio™ technology offers an easy retrofit solution for mechanical door hardware, adding access control to any door in the time it takes to switch out a cylinder. Local wireless communication between the M100 and an Aperio hub connects to the existing EAC system, eliminating the cost and inconvenience of bringing wiring to the door.

Samsung’s Network Spider Cam captures FULL HD images in complete and total darkness up to 328 feet. This network PTZ dome comes with a 20x optical zoom and focused IR illumination, which focuses objects at a distance as the camera zooms. Includes an IP66 environment protected and IK10 vandal resistant rating.

Corbin Russwin and Sargent Manufacturing Company, ASSA ABLOY Group Companies, have won an ASIS Accolades award for the IN120, unveiled at the opening of the ASIS Seminar and Exhibits. Available in cylindrical or mortise lock configurations, the SARGENT IN100 lockset supports HID® 125kHz prox or 13.56 MHz iCLASS® contactless credentials. The IN100 features an integrated reader, monitoring and a wireless radio, simplifying installation and reducing material costs.
