Use the Slide Lock Vertical-Z™ car-opening tool to unlock the front passenger door locking mechanism. Lubricate the weather stripping. Insert the box hook flat to the front passenger door window close to the rear edge of the glass. Carefully push the hook down into the door cavity making sure to not damage the weather stripping. Rotate the shaft into a vertical position. Lower the tool until the number "3" indicator is just beneath the weather stripping. Rotate the Vertical-Z tool about 45 degrees clockwise to plate the vertical linkage rod between the door skin and the tool. Manipulate the tool forward. Rotate the tool counterclockwise until it contacts the vertical linkage rod. Bind the rod and pull up on the tool to unlock the door locking mechanism.
Use the Tech-Train Productions TT-1017 car-opening tool and a wedge to unlock the passenger door locking mechanism. Begin by inserting the wedge forward of the passenger door locking button. Carefully insert the TT-1017 tool into the door cavity with the hooked end on the outboard side of the linkage rod with the tip pointing rearward.
Note: Do not rotate the tool until the shaft is against the weather stripping.
Carefully lower the tool until the tool is five inches deep in the door. Rotate the tool clockwise until it contacts the vertical linkage rod. The locking button will move slightly. Once the tool contacts the linkage rod, pull the tool forward until the linkage rod is trapped within the hooked tip. Continue to maintain pulling pressure on the tool and lift to unlock the locking mechanism.
The direction to rotate the driver's door lock plug to the unlocked position is counterclockwise.
