IR Security Technologies Named ISG 2011 Partner of Year

CARMEL, IN – Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies was presented the 2011 Partner of the Year Award from Identification Systems Group (ISG), the nationwide network of local integrators in identification, security, and card personalization at the ISG Annual Spring Meeting held April 16-17 in Albuquerque, NM. Back in September of 2008, ISG partnered with Ingersoll Rand to deliver innovative printing, personalization, enrollment and issuance products. The partnership paired innovative smartcard technology from Ingersoll Rand’s XceedID with the expert network of ISG Members in North America.

“The integration between our two technology companies has given our members and customers a valuable alternative to proprietary solutions in the market today,” reports Roger Sigler, executive director of ISG. “The market has responded favorably, noting that our solution streamlines the credential issuance process and activation. We’ve noted significant purchase orders from multiple industries.”

According to Sigler, customers like the fact that when the contactless smartcard credential is being printed, the ISG system reads the access control number from the secure sector and populates the access control database to increase efficiency and throughput. For other applications, the system writes information and keys to any sector of the contactless credential. In addition, the powerful ISG synchronization tools allow for data to be sent to other applications that need it.

“We are honored to be voted by the Members of ISG to be their Partner of the Year,” adds Erik Wagner, Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies national account manager, credential sales. “Paired with ISG’s expansive network of members, we’re able to offer this open smartcard solution on a much larger scale. This award represents our commitment with ISG to help offer flexible, open credential solutions."
