ASSA ABLOY Appoints New CFO

Carolina Dybeck Happe has been appointed CFO and Executive Vice President of the ASSA ABLOY Group, effective March 1st 2012. She succeeds Tomas Eliasson who has accepted a position outside the company.

Carolina Dybeck Happe is currently CFO of Trelleborg, a global industrial group listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. Previously, she spent nine years with ASSA ABLOY, the last four years as CFO of the EMEA division located in London and before that as CFO of market region Central Europe located in Berlin. She holds a Master Degree in Finance.

SIA Names Director of Government Relations

Alexandria, VA – The Security Industry Association (SIA) has appointed Marcus Dunn as the association’s Director of Government Relations. Dunn replaces Don Erickson, who was named as SIA’s Chief Executive Officer late last year. Dunn comes to SIA from Susan Davis International, a public relations firm, where he served as a senior account executive.

Dunn’s previous work includes nearly a decade on Capitol Hill, stints as a senior legislative advisor for Patton Boggs, LLP and time as the sole proprietor of legislative consulting firm Capitol Centric, LLC.

 “Marcus brings a wide variety of experiences to SIA, including work with associations, media, public and government relations,” said SIA CEO Don Erickson. “We are excited to have him on the team and look forward to him leading an increased role for SIA government relations in advancing the best interests of our membership, and the security industry as a whole.”

OnSSI Appoints SE Sales Manager

Pearl River, NY– OnSSI, a market leader in open-architecture, intelligent IP-based video surveillance software, has appointed David Throckmorton as Southeast Regional Sales Manager. Throckmorton, who will be located in a regional office in the greater Miami area, will apply his extensive sales and technology experience to manage OnSSI’s business activities in the region, and to ensure the company's continued growth in the Southeastern United States.

Throckmorton comes to OnSSI with seven years of experience in the electronic security and video surveillance industry. As an account manager and technology design specialist for Security 101, a dealer/integrator in South Florida, he focused on selling integrated solutions. Throughout his career, he has managed large installations ranging from hospitals in South Florida to the Miami-Dade County government that employ a variety of integrated solutions including Ocularis from OnSSI. Throckmorton was also previously employed by Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies for several years where he received the “President’s Club Top Sales Award”.

Industry leaders arrived at the Omni Mandalay at Las Colinas in Irving, TX, Jan. 9, 2012, for the launch of the co-located ESI Forum and ESA Leadership Summit events. This afternoon they took some time to applaud the 2012 Best Practice Award Winners at the Forum’s Roundtable Session, sponsored by Telguard.
