IR Focus Group: BOMA Members Equate Safety with Reputation
CARMEL, IN – Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies announced initial findings from a focus group taken among the 900 commercial real estate industry executive members attending the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International Conference June 26-28. Property managers ranked innovation, training and consistent execution as the key challenges they face in regard to achieving their security goals.
“The 12 BOMA member panel stated that safety is a critical element in property management as their reputations and their properties’ reputations are on the line,” reports April Noblitt, Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies director, commercial real estate vertical market. “As the BOMA Cornerstone Partner, with the privilege of exclusively representing the security category to BOMA’s constituency, we felt it necessary to determine what property managers, building owners, tenants and potential alliance partners are thinking when it comes to security issues.”
According to Noblitt, “Great insight was gained into the challenges prime real estate managers face as well as into areas of need that they want the security industry to address. We feel it is important as industry advisors and marketers to understand the changes taking place in security application and consumption.”
