Stanley To Distribute Securitech Mental Health Products
Stanley Security Solutions, Inc. (Stanley) announces a strategic distribution partnership with Securitech Group Inc., a leading manufacturer of customized security and life-safety locks headquartered in Maspeth, N.Y.
The partnership between Stanley and Securitech brings Securitech's mental health focused products such as anti-ligature locks, seclusion room multi-point locks, and safety emergency door alarms into Stanley's wide family of products. Stanley will be the only source for these products and will provide them to mental health institutions through Stanley's network of national representatives as well as contract hardware distribution channels.
“Securitech is pleased to work hand-in-hand with Stanley to bring the latest code-compliant life-safety solutions to the mental health industry,” explains Mark Berger, President and Chief Product Officer of Securitech.
“The combination of Securitech's product innovations and Stanley's national presence allows us to improve the environments for returning soldiers in the VA hospitals across the country, as well as countless other patients in hospitals across North America.”
“The formation of our partnership with Securitech further strengthens the security solution portfolio that Stanley already offers to its customers,” states Jaime Torres, Director of Product Marketing for Stanley Mechanical Solutions. “Securitech products complement and add to our already well-rounded product and service offerings, and they will be supported by Stanley's extensive commercialization and service network.”
Bluetooth® Compatible CyberKey for Mobile Authorization
Videx (www.videx.com) introduces CyberKey® Blue, a rechargeable key that uses Bluetooth® technology. Now CyberKey users with a BlackBerry® phone can update their key with a new access schedule and download their audit information while in the field.
The Bluetooth compatible key is a perfect solution for companies with employees who are mobile or located in remote locations, or when extreme security is required, such as with technicians servicing ATM machines. Rather than carry a key that is programmed to open all the ATM locks on that day's route, the service technician can now carry a key that receives authorization on-the-fly to open a specific lock on a specific machine at each location. Only when at the machine do they receive access permissions via their BlackBerry phone.
CyberKey Blue is the newest addition to the CyberLock Electronic Lock System. With CyberLock, virtually any type of lock can be converted to a higher-security electronic lock simply by replacing the lock's mechanical cylinder with the CyberLock electronic cylinder. The CyberLock system consists of software for managing the locks and keys, CyberLock cylinders that have no keyways to vandalize, and electronic CyberKeys that cannot be duplicated. All CyberLock cylinders and keys record openings and unauthorized attempts to enter. This detailed audit reporting can be extremely valuable to any organization.
